As a member of the Saturno Consortium, GCFE was awarded the contract for the construction of the technological installations of the Brescia – Verona<\/strong> high-speed section, the second functional lot of the Milan – Verona HS\/HC line, an integral part of the Mediterranean TEN-Corridor linking the Iberian Peninsula to the Ukrainian border, crossing Italy from West to East.<\/p>\n

The new line is powered at 3kV DC, with a design speed of 250km\/h, for a total development of 45 km, 16 km of which in tunnels. The railway line crosses 2 regions, 3 provinces, 11 municipalities and runs mostly alongside existing infrastructure in the area (highway and railway line).<\/p>\n

As part of the Consortium, GCFE is the leader in the design, supply and construction of the 3 kV DC Overhead Contact Line, 132 kV High Voltage Power Lines and Remote Control System on the entire line.<\/p>\n

Additionally the company\u2019s scope of work also encompasses design and construction of Substations and Low Voltage Power Supply.<\/p>\n<\/div>
